Scotland has reached the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals five times (1991, 1995, 2003, 2011, 2019) but has never progressed beyond that stage. The team's best performance was reaching the quarter-finals in 1991 when the tournament was held in England, and they have consistently competed in the pool stages but struggled to advance further in recent tournaments.
