The greatest Scotland fly-halves ever are John Rutherford, Dan Sheehan, and Ian McGeechan, who were instrumental in Scotland's Five Nations success during the 1980s and 1990s. More recently, Greig Laidlaw and Stuart Hogg have been among the finest, with Laidlaw captaining Scotland and Hogg becoming a world-class player. These players demonstrated exceptional skill, tactical intelligence, and leadership at international level.
