The Calcutta Cup is made of silver and stands approximately 27 inches tall. It was crafted from melted-down silver rupees from the Calcutta Club in India and features ornamental handles shaped like cobra snakes. The trophy has been awarded to the winner of the annual Scotland vs England rugby match since 1879.
