Edinburgh Rugby reached the European Rugby Champions Cup semi-finals in 2012 and has competed regularly in European competitions since joining the Heineken Cup in 1995. They won the Anglo-Welsh Cup (now European Challenge Cup equivalent) in 2010 and have consistently progressed through European pool stages in recent seasons, establishing themselves as competitive participants in continental rugby.
