Edinburgh Rugby has competed in European competitions since the professional era, reaching the Heineken Cup quarter-finals multiple times and winning the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2004. The club has also participated regularly in the Challenge Cup, with their best European performance being a semi-final appearance in the Heineken Cup during the 2011-12 season. Their record includes numerous victories against continental opposition and consistent qualification for European tournaments.
