Edinburgh Rugby has never won the European Cup, though they reached the final once in 2012 when they lost to Leinster 15-9. They have won the Anglo-Welsh Cup (now called the European Challenge Cup) twice, in 2014 and 2015, competing in that secondary European competition rather than the top-tier Heineken Cup/Champions Cup.
