Gregor Townsend played as a fly-half for Scotland from 1993 to 2004, earning 82 caps and representing the Lions, before becoming Scotland's head coach in 2017. As a player, he was known for his attacking flair and tactical skills, while his coaching career has focused on developing an expansive playing style with notable achievements including a Grand Slam in 2023.
