Gregor Townsend played for Scotland as a fly-half from 1993 to 2001, earning 43 caps and scoring 210 points, and later became Scotland's head coach in 2017. His playing career included competing in the 1999 Rugby World Cup and helping Scotland win the 2000 Six Nations Championship. As coach since 2017, he has led Scotland to multiple Six Nations titles and Rugby World Cup appearances.
